My "DK Domain" sites were general "all-about-me" websites where I could talk about myself and display personal photos. But with version 5.0, I took a new direction, thus the name "Resurgence", in displaying my work in a more professional manner and cutting down on personal information.

The website is composed entirely of images.  I tried to recreate any kind of bells and whistles a Flash site might have, such as animations and rollovers, by using animated gifs and JavaScript, since I didn't have Flash back then, let alone be able to afford a licensed version!

I went with a dark, "techie" theme which features a bluish color palette, very tiny text, and a large cloudy background.

Navigation around the site involved clicking the icons in the left panel.  On mouseover, a description would appear above the icon as shown above.  This also applied to the sub-navigation, which appeared in the bottom half of the right panel instead.

Although this kind of dark theme might not appeal to everyone, I figured that since it was my own personal site, I'd designed it to my tastes.  I loved the overall look of the site and still do till this day.
