After much thinking and sketching, I finally came up with a simplistic layout that only utilized rectangles.  With the simple shapes and warm, brownish tones, I hoped to give the site a more elegant look.

This is however, one of my earlier designs and overall, I do believe it didn't look professional enough.  Other problems also arose, such as expanding tables, when loading the page in Netscape or Firefox.
